Rune halls of valhalla pc download: Rune Expansion: Halls of Valhalla - PC : Video Games.Install Game
Human Head Studio's Rune: Halls of Valhalla is an expansion pack with one goal in mind, to make multiplay more fun without changing the basic play or features of the original game.
Having said that, keep in mind that while this expansion is a standalone, meaning you can play it without the original game, it doesn't have any single player mode. And I don't just mean a single player storyline -- Rune: Halls of Valhalla doesn't even come with bots for training in multiplayer mode.
No, this expansion is purely for playing against others via the Internet or LAN connection. Unfortunately the game also doesn't come with any new weapons or rune powers, but I don't think that really affects this expansion pack.
The original Rune was so packed with weapons, shields and rune power-ups that it really wasn't necessary. Too often game designers stuff their expansions with needless add-ons just to give players the sense of playing a new game.
Instead Human Head spent all of their time putting together an expansion to an already strong game that dealt with the issues that needed expanding, namely levels and modes of play in multiplayer. So what you will find in Rune: Halls of Valhalla are tons of new multiplayer maps, 34 to be exact, and 15 new character skins including several Valkyrie, Roman gladiators Romulus and Remus, a swashbuckler and even a Mongul and Syrian. It's worth mentioning that seven of the new deathmatch maps included in the Rune: Halls of Valhalla expansion pack were the winners of the January contest sponsored by Human Head Studios.

This is hand to hand combat Unreal Tournament. Not a bad idea at all. There are no projectile weapons, but you can throw whatever you can pick up including swords, maces, heads, and limbs.
There is nothing quite so satisfying as lopping off an opponent's sword arm and then using it to bludgeon him. If you think you'd like a go at all melee combat, buy this. It is a little buggy, but really not bad at all. The Unreal engine continues to provide excellent graphics and playability, even if all you've got is an old voodoo 3 graphics card like me.

Due to melee nature of combat although weapons are sometimes, albeit rarely, thrown , the weapons list is filled with a wide assortment of swords, hammers, maces, and the like. Each item can be imbued with the power of runes, stones with archaic magical markings on them, for unique effects, particularly the rune that lights up swords like light sabers.
Other runes give health and bloodlust or the ability to take additional damage without harm. Finally, shields have been enhanced to provide more depth than a simple hack, slash, and slay strategy, although matches often end up as bloody slice-fests with no finesse.
Even though deathmatch games are action packed, they often lose players from the repetitious gameplay. To allay boredom, Human Head Studios added several features such as localized damage effects, four styles of gameplay including Headball, a gruesome basketball version using severed heads, and more levels and skins available on the Internet. Unfortunately, players cannot spawn bots to battle for offline practice and must seek out live challengers for hand-to-hand action. In the end, however, it is still the same old game in a new outfit.
